As of late, and largely because of our recent experimental design work, we have returned to Matisse as a composer of great imaging. Whether you look to is coloring, elements of image composition, or late minimalism, Matisse has become a great symbol, reservoir, and inspiration for our latest work. It is the line, the soft touch, the use of negative space, that leaves the lasting impression.

Ellen von Unwerth’s career has been built on pushing photography to the limits - be those limits visual or creations of taboos. Her work expresses a delightful playfulness and sensuality that demonstrates a rare comfort with the often lofty celebrities she is shooting. Following, we strive to use von Unwerth’s work as a template for our portrait photography.
